Integration of data sets from logs, cores and performance can be expedited in one of two processes:
1. Excel Spreadsheet - Click on spreadsheet to open it, then follow the instructions to implement it.
a. Log parameters such as Rw, "m" and "n" are input to solve for Sw, using porosity and
formation resistivity.
b. Core analysis data such as porosity and permeability are input and converted to
permeability/porosity ratio and port size (R35).
c. Calculation of net pay by pore type is used to determine original hydrocarbon in place
and estimate recoverable hydrocarbon,
2. Game Board - Click on either the log data or core data game board. Enter the data on the graphs
as instructed and extract a variety of petrophysical applications. Both processes are designed
to deepen understanding of reservoir attributes and enhance characterization.
